**As of Friday, March 20, until further notice, no one other than the patient is allowed in the hospital or professional building. We must adhere to these rules for the safety and protection of everyone.** There are exceptions for certain circumstances, including during the birth of your child.
During these very uncertain times we wanted to keep our patients up to date on what our office is doing. First and foremost, the health of our patients, staff, and family are of utmost importance to us. We have implemented extra cleaning measures to insure our office is clean and sanitized throughout the day for all our patients. We ask that anyone that is exhibiting any flu-like symptoms (i.e. cough, fever, sore throat, trouble breathing, vomiting, or diarrhea) please do not come to the office. All GYN patients should contact their primary care physician or call the local or state health department. All OB patients should call the office for instructions. We are limiting office exposure by asking patients to call us once they have arrived. We can push our check-in system to you via your cell phone. Once your check-in is complete you will be called when your room is available. This will eliminate patients waiting together in the waiting room. We have also limited visitors. We are following the guidelines of Atrium Medical Center that does not allow any children under the age of 14 and only 1 additional person with the patient. We are advising anyone at high risk for COVID -19 (over 60 years old, anyone with underlying health risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, chronic lung disease, chronic kidney disease, and people on immunosuppressive medications) put off any routine appointments for several months. We will be happy to refill routine, non-narcotic prescriptions, to get you through until you are seen. We will continue to see routine and problem GYN patients and all OB patients as long you are not exhibiting any symptoms mentioned above. All of this information is subject to change based on recommendations from the CDC, so we will try to keep this as up to date as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this unprecedented situation.
